Minutes from the October 9,2009 held at the club property on Arndt Road – Fairchild, WI President Carl Spurling called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Present was Carl Spurling, Willy Olson, John
Stewart, Ron Robertson, Bill Bethke, Jill Sabin, Jeanie Olson & Linda Buchholz
Secretary report was read – motion was made by Willy Olson to accept and 2nd
by John Stewart.
Treasurer report was read – motion was made
by Jill Sabin to accept and 2nd John Stewart. Motion was made by Jill Sabin to add a section on the agenda to
Approve new bills – motion was 2nd
by Chuck Janeke. New website - Pam Panacek, Ardy Robertson and Carl Spurling met prior to meeting and discussed
options that the new site would have – all additions will go to a page where the committee will review and make a decision
upon before posting. Such as private comments – adding pictures, upcoming events, links etc.
Carl will bring his laptop & computer to next meeting for members to review.
Campground report was given by Willy Olson – collected $60.00 in September.
Willy Olson & John Stewart will do the winterize campsites & kitchen drain before October 15th.
Water sample results were read – Nitrite was 14.1 compared to the spring 09 test of 12.1 and
there were no Colouform present. Ron Robertson will call Lamont for pumping out the portable toilets and
see if anything special needs to be done for the vault toilets. Motion was made by Larry Smith to accept
and 2nd by Merle Messerschmidt.
Willy Olson updated members on the advertising spaces for a reproduction of our ATV Maps – sales slow and Willy
though we had enough for next summer (270 maps left) Motion was made to table ATV maps & refund Gail’s Inn money
by Bill Bethke, 2nd by Pam Panancek.
Carl Spurling bought up the booth at CWIRA (Central WI Ice Racing Associate) races will be Feb 28th at
Humbird. There will only be one food/beverage booth if ATV club is willing to run tent or building will
be provide by CWIRA. Linda Buchholz made a motion to do the food & beverage concession stand, 2nd
by Jill Sabin. Was mention to talk with Rock Dam club if interested in helping??
Willy Olson made motion to table campground licensing until spring, 2nd by Jill Sabin.
Motion was made by Steve Buchholz to table by-laws reading, 2nd by Linda Buchholz.
Due to the fact committee brought wrong copies of the 2nd reading of the By-Laws to meeting.
Linda Buchholz will make copies of the correct revision for the November meeting. Steve Buchholz
made a motion to add members to the By-Law committee – Steve then rescinded his motion. Due to the
fact each members was asked to review and suggestion changes and revisions. Linda will e-mail members correct copy, for their
comments.
Grant money that is Village of Fairchild account from 2008. Motion was made
by Bill Bethke to remove all but $50.00 in the Village account and put into a saving account for club. 2nd
by Jill Sabin.
Jill Sabin bought up that a playground set was in
the paper for $1.000.00 – hasn’t had a chance to look at – there was a discussion about liability, Willy
Olson will check with insurance. Each member was asked to make a blueprint where it should be located on
premises.
New Business – Volunteer were asked for to sit in at the Clark county
ATV trail meetings. Should start in January – interest people were, Carl Spurling, George Mann, Sam
Van Horn and possible Jill Sabin.
Correspondence - Motion made by Sam Van Horn to donate $50.00 to the PTO for
Halloween party. Steve Buchholz made a motion that the club should compile a list of equipment owed by club, 2nd by Bill
Bethke – board will compile list.
Question
was bought up by Steve Buchholz how we were going to keep track of all the tabled items – was suggested a large wall
calendar be bought and posted within club house. Jill Sabin was checking to see if Dean’s
work might have one. Membership agreed this was a good idea.
Toys for Tots letter from Northern Wisconsin read – Linda Buchholz made a motion to support
the local Toys for Tots, motion 2nd by Ardy Robertson.
Motion was made by Willy Olson to donate $50.00 to the Fairchild fire dept for a New Siren, motion 2nd
by Bill Bethke.
No club ride October 10th,
– instead a ride on October 24, Ride to rock dam for the Rock Dam Fest – leaving a 10:00 am, weather permitting.
Club will send Bruce Theikle who underwent prostate surgery this past week a Sweatshirt. Hat pin and large ATV Sticker
with card. Carol Bethke hositpalized for Knee replacement will send flowers.
Trail behind the Rod and Gun club has been repaired - Many thanks to all who help!!!
