helping with the shelter set up – dollar amount unknown.
Please
mark your calendar and attendmeeting on March 31st there will be a Advisor committee meeting at Rock Dam - Lakeside
tavern at 7:00 pm to discuss and prevent future ATV trails from closing. Currently Clark County has closed
the South Butler forest road (north side of rock dam) reason being for logging - could be closed permanetly or up to 5 years.
Clark County will be having another meeting sometime in April for further discussion. All area clubs
need to join forces and prevent more possible trail closings.
We’ll be doing the ticket gate again this year at Rock Fest – 38 shifts – This is an easy
way for us to earn monies for the club – volunteers will receive one day free admission plus a thank you dinner after
the event. If interested in working one or more shifts - please contact Jill Sabin at 715-334-2607.
We must have all shifts filled before May 10th
This year events schedule was tabled – motion was made

Classes
will be lead by Jill Sabin and Ardy Robinson – DNR need six weeks notice. Jill will contact them
for a date. All attendee will receive a free membership with the club until age 18. Ardy
Robertson will make a membership card for each.
Hurly,
WI is having their 25th annual Memorial day weekend parade (event) To have club named as a sponsor and
a display area they are asking for a momentary contribution (3 different levels – lowest is $250.00) –
Jill Sabin made a motion to table the sponsorship – although we should go as a club to the event. John
Stewart 2nd the motion. Any one interested in going to Hurley contact John Stewart
or Sam Van Horn ASAP - you can book with the club or
make your own reservations. Or e-mal info@hurleywi.com or info@mercercc.com
There was discussion on prorating membership
dues – most felt that our dues were minimal and we should promote the club in a more positive light to show where membership
fees are spent. Ardy will make a poster and bring to our next meeting for review. Then
these posters can be post in area establishment promoting the sport of ATVing.
Jill
Sabin mention that Eau Claire county now pays the Railroad $2,000.00 per year to use the land which runs parallel to the tracks.
With the budget cuts the county will no longer pay this amount. This is the trail behind Empty Pockets
to the unload area by Hwy 10.
In order to keep access within that area
we as a club need to approach the Village for a possible reroute of that trail. Carl Spurling will call
the Village to be put on the April 8th agenda to discuss an alternate route. Again this year Fairchild PTO will sponsor
an Easter egg hunt – they are asking for a donation of $50.00 for candy. Ardy Robertson made a motion
to donate $50.00 - 2nd by Ron Robertson. When the ATV trail closes on March 15th for the spring
thaw – Land owners Scott Bertrang, Dean & Jill Sabin will also closed the trail behind the Rod and Gun club.
This should reduce the ruts that usually occur during this time.
Jill said Dean has a lot of weed be gone and the club shouldn’t purchase any for
this summer.
Larry Smith made a motion to adjourn meeting, 2nd
